Has anyone done their 15 cent hit and gotten paid? I did about 50 of them 3 days ago, and I noticed the hit is still up. It says they auto approve in 30 days, but I'm afraid to do any more in case they're not legit. There's only one TO review... :help:

for those who have done these hits I was wondering if he randomly rejects like some are claiming on TO. not so worried about how long it takes to approve as long as I dont get 10 rejects out of 100. im a pretty creative writer so i dont think originality will be an issue, just dont want to have my work randomly rejected.

This HIT required users to accurately complete two screening question. One to choose the better of a pair of surgeons in a video, the other to test how well you could follow directions. This HIT was rejected because you failed to answer one or both of those questions correctly. I took a survey from The Century Foundation regarding finding out what mturkers like about mturk. They requested a phone number with the possibility of doing a phone survey for $10.00.

I knew better than to enter my phone number but I did.

Does anyone know about this Requester and can they do anything with my phone number?

Sorry for the question but I am a little worried.

Yesterday I rejected a Turkers HIT as it didn't follow instruction laid out in the HIT. The Turker emailed me asking why it was rejected. Within 2-3 hours of sending the email asking for clarification and prior to my response the Turker gave me a negative review on Turk Opticon system.

I try to be readily available to folks that are working on my HIT's - I respond to emails within 12 hours, normally within minutes. I've tried to be active here so that I can speak more directly to folks and get realtime feedback if my HIT sucks and/or if I'm paying too little.

My question is this. What more can I be doing to work WITH my Turkers vs having to reject HIT submissions? I really wish Mturk had a "return for corrections" option that wasn't something that hurt the Turker.

NM, I think a very good fix has been found, which is aces.

Anyone seen wild swings on their scoring?

I usually work on the adult hits or flag the unrelated images but I decided to try the side by side comparisons. Worked for several hours and monitored my score about every 10 minutes which stayed right at 100. I left the comp for 15 minutes, come back, and my score is 22 and obviously I lost the qualification. They aren't hard to do (most of the AC's are obvious) and even if I was guessing, I would have a 50% of getting them right.

On the other hits for them, my score will drop a few points, go back up, repeat on and on. But this was an unexpected avalanche!:(

This requester posted a HIT wanting your opinion on the best search query to use to get the best results. There were 5 options to chose from and you had to rate each one better or worse and mark 2 the best or the worst. It is pretty simple to grasp really didn't seem like a huge deal.

Apparently my opinion didn't match his so now I sport a rejection due to this. The beginning specifically said to rate what YOU thought each query would be rated. Had I known I had to guess what the requester thought I would have passed on it completely. I value my approval far more then my bank account as the rating leads to the bank.

This is just a heads up to those about to do any HITs from this requester. TO history speaks for itself, just be aware .

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out if the problem I'm having is specific to my computer or to everyone. Since 7AM, when I click on a transcription job, the job won't load. I don't get an error message, and can even accept the job sometimes, but nothing loads in the HIT box. It's really weird. I tried my laptop and desktop and also went downstairs to our computer lounge to try a different IP and nothing worked.

Am I the only one? There's no notes on the CW website, and I haven't seen anyone else post about it.

Hi All,
I am a new requester and I am having a hard time getting workers to work on my current HIT.
I am paying $.25 to send one email in one HIT, plus a followup HIT, and so far I have only a handful of workers and no follow up in the last 4 days.
In the past, I posted $.02 tasks (to look at 2 pictures) and that got more workers.

Does anyone have any advice?

Hi everyone I'm new to this board and just over a month old on mechanical turk. I recently did a batch of hits from this requester and had them rejected. I should of trusted my instincts on doing so many hits on a requester with no TO reviews. Anyways I'm wondering if they a requester gets enough bad reviews or get reported by enough people will this hits get reversed, eliminated, or will they stay the same?
