Hi all, I'm working with my data team to test & implement the new upload/download scheme... nothing changes on your end, but big changes on ours. I'll keep you updated.
Hi all, I'm working with my data team to test & implement the new upload/download scheme... nothing changes on your end, but big changes on ours. I'll keep you updated.
Good stuff. So do you know if you are going to be able to push out massive batch this week. Hoping for them while I have spring break going on. Also any word on getting the batch out today?
Hi all, Unfortunately I'm still sorting out the drop in retrieval rates from 10% to 2%. So far it doesn't look like any foul play or the broken if statement like I thought (it was definitely broken on the NY batch, but it doesn't look like it was broken for CA or TN) - but I do need to run some accuracy tests so I can let the exec team know what happened. That'll take at least the rest of the day. I'm sorry I can't give you an exact answer - hopefully I can get our data team intern working on this with me so I can post a batch sooner. Thanks, ocmp34 ETA: Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was knee deep in learning our new upload/download system and had to bug my dev team for tutoring.
Hope you get it all sorted out. Is there any chance that it is simply a case of bad luck rather then any foul play or mistakes. I mean not sure how many hits you had with only a 2% return rate but if it is a fairly small sample it is possible that the previous 10% is a little high and the 2% is fairly low simply due to which hits went in which groups and the early batches just happening to be rich in the information and this batch being very poor.
Sorry - that's what I meant when I said I didn't think it was foul play or some error on my part. I think it's just bad luck, but I'm testing the batch to make sure (sometimes we have to confirm things we already know to be true... just in case). ETA: like a 2% return for TN isn't that surprising. Other batches we've done have been like NY and DC, all with really high grossing, really up to date nonprofits - more likely to have this data. From a look at the TN data, it's not that these aren't equally active nonprofits, it's that they tend to be smaller in scope - more local. (Which makes sense - not a lot of headquarters for major nationwide nonprofits or corporations are headquartered in TN.) I think this is resulting in the drop. For CA it's a slightly different problem. In our office we did a LOT of CA manually during testing because it's low-hanging fruit, so several hundred of the easy pickins' weren't in the batch. Like I said, at this point I don't suspect foul play and nothing in my testing data suggests it, but I still have to spend today and perhaps tomorrow testing.
Ah OK sorry misunderstood what your first post said. Knew you said it wasn't broken in a certain way so thought you might be checking for it being broken in other ways.
Good morning everyone. Still working on a few things and making the upload/download scheme. I see my friend ocmp-38 has joined us on this board as well. Hopefully he'll provide some work for you in the meantime.
Yikes, sorry I've been working on other projects. While we do have everything but upload/download figured out (the retrieval error wasn't foul play at all, of course), I do have to wait for the accounting team to push some more availability. Hoping to have some stuff up on Monday. Because I think I've finally got things figured out, I should be able to run quite a bit more this round.
Just to confirm - upload/download seems to be working, though I will continue testing these new features throughout the day. See you all on Monday!
He's on Pacific time, and it seems that he usually does right after lunch, so...1 pm PST? That'd be my best guess, which doesn't really help you at all, but...
Hey, all! I am, unfortunately, waiting on the accounting team, but I will post a small batch this afternoon. Thanks, ocmp34
Hi all, Our PM is in town so I've been giving another task for today, my apologies - I'll have a batch up soon, if there are any workers patient enough to stay with me! ocmp34
