Okay, so there are NO Rubin course-hits up... just so's I don't start a panic. BUT *dun dun dun* when they ARE up, since I have a tendency to miss the start of a batch, I have posted in the Rubin thread the link to the school collection form for the Google spreadsheet for all to use www.mturkforum.com/showthread.php?5463-Resources-for-Course-Listing-HITs/page4#35 Hoping I didn't just jinx the Rubins away. I shall accept blame if I did!
I just took the Home Appliance Survey from Nikhil Sawe (Stanford). Pay is $7. Took me 26 minutes. #winning now time to
Yeah, outside of the stuff that's up everyday. I've been scrounging through pretty hard...and unless Rubin posts some more or we get really lucky with something else, it's probably not going to pick up for a couple of days at least. Looks like it might be time to get settled in with some CS/CF or take the top-tier test if you haven't already...
I took that about a month ago. Took them awhile to get back to me, and they rejected it. I'm a good writer, but I guess I shouldn't have tried to write at 2am! "You're expressing good information here, but there's a lot of places where you can economize on your wording to express yourself more clearly, including eliminating the side comments. Please do look over the AP punctuation rules in the HIT and proofread your work before clicking Submit." :noidea: out:
I submitted my entry on the 21st after spending quite a bit of time researching and getting my article as tight and concise as possible. I haven't heard anything yet, but I wasn't expecting to until after the new year. Even though it might just be a touch delusional, and I usually just act a fool on the forum...I fancy myself a respectable writer as well, though i think that only serves to get in the way of delivering what they want with the AP style stressed so severely. Oh well, we'll see. Are you going to retry?
I'm going to start a full-time job next month so likely I won't. If I weren't, I might, though honestly I don't want to be out-grammar-Nazi'd. If they're going to be so intensely picky, considering what other stuff there is out on the interwebs... *recalls the good ol' days of having the HubPages qual*
I put in some real effort into it, so if I get rejected I'm pretty sure I'll just get all stubborn and think "oh yeah, YOU are going to reject ME? We'll see about that," and just spend entirely too much time on another essay for them. I hope you enjoy your new job.
