Good evening ya'll! I have a quick question. Right now, I'm running a panda for MyLikes. Is there any script out there that can make a sound alert when a HIT has been added to my queue? The reason I ask is that MyLikes timer is one minute 30 seconds. I check my "HITS assigned to me" page frequently, but sometimes, I get there and there are just a few seconds left on the HIT. So I was wondering if there is something out there that can sound alert me when a new HIT has been accepted.

Are you using TurkMaster? It has that feature built in, just check "alert" in the timer creation window thing and turn the sound on in the settings cog at the upper right

I have turkmaster running. Is there a way to set turkmaster to watch the "Hits assigned to me" page, so that it alerts me when I have a HIT come through? Basically, I have a panda running for MyLikes, while I'm working on another project. I would like it so that it alerts me when a HIT has been accepted. I can run an alert for MyLikes, but a lot of times, the HITS are accepted even before they show up in Mturk, so it wouldn't really work.

You have two options. You cannot set a monitor on the hits assigned page, as far as I'm aware, but if you put your panda in there you should get a ding when hits pops up. If that is not working you can try using page monitor on your hits assigned page, assuming you are running chrome.

 

Well TM does that but it tells you when the panda finds a result, not necessarily if it's added to your queue. Basically it will alert you with a sound every time a hit is accepted and will keep going off if you have a captcha (not a different sound).

edit: To clarify, to my knowledge there is NOT a way to have it alert you specifically and only when a hit is added to your queue.

Oh ok I get it now. I was trying to setup an alert using the search bar. But you need to setup the alert on the actual hit itself. Thanks so much!
