I love it when they do that! I laugh my ass off. This isn't exactly the road to riches, but if you can't earn more than $1.25, I don't know what to say to you.

I understand, I don't like competition either but sometimes I message really low paying requesters, asking if maybe they missed a decimal point when they were pricing the hits and more than once I've gotten a response along the lines of "The average pay on Mturk is $1.75 an hour, so I am actually paying pretty well."
