I've been a turker myself for some time now and have gotten the hang of it. Although being from Belgium makes it harder with less good HITs and only able to transfer to money to the Amazon Gift Card Balance it's been going pretty good.

I had the idea of making a central hub for non-US members because most things you find on forums, reddit etc. are only useful for US turkers, so I wanted to share it with you guys!

    Here's the link: mturkforall.blogspot.com

    Any comments, suggestions are welcome.

There are a few things I'd like to know about this process. Without spending hours trying to find terms and conditions on Amazon, could you tell me how this process is done, if there is a withdrawal limit, and what is the highest Amazon gift voucher figure in monetary value that you can transfer to.

I've read some places that Amazon gift certificates expire, yet other places that they do not. I'm currently using MTurk to save up for a DSLR and considering I too can only withdraw the funds into Amazon gift vouchers, can I transfer over large amounts?

On another note, I would like to purchase from Amazon.com - the US site, instead of Amazon.co.uk as the price is cheaper on the US site. My question is: does my MTurk balance hen emptied out into Amazon gift vouchers appear only available for Amazon.co.uk?

Maybe I should set up a HIT, because every bit of info I've searched for has been utterly contradictory!

It's just another way of getting information, that's why I've also linked to this forum.
You can only use them in the US store, they never expire. Watch out for shipping rates, they get large...

Do they deduct the shipping rates from the gift card balance, or does one have to pay separately for shipping with a card, do you know?

No, you cannot use them in the US store if you're not from the US, and you can pay for everything including shipping from your gift card balance

No, you can use it only in the US store no matter where you are living in the world. I mean, you can purchase from amazon.com only, not from amazon.co.uk or any other sites of amazon.

See what i mean about the conflicting information I've only been able to find? ha!

Well i have both an amazon.com and an amazon.co.uk account, I don't mind about the shipping costs because they can't be that huge, and if they are I'll just do another couple of HITs.

Day 10 of newbie turking and I've completed 196 HITs - I'm at $150.42, $6.97 in tips, and with $48.48 to be confirmed. I am so gutted i didn't find out about this before!!!!!

Haha! I felt the same way. Wish I had found this about three years ago. Shoot, even five.

I tried looking for a link to answer your question but I believe it's what moonwalker stated. No, can't find the policy on it. Actually got distracted reading other blogs talking about mturk.

Thanks for helping out. Like I said, I don't mind if I can only order from the US website, by the way I'm going I think I could cover the shipping fees in bonuses in a few weeks time.

I've only just realised the past few days that you get sent an email with your results and bonus payments, so I like those, also a few requesters have said they were impressed with my work (I mainly do article writing) and potentially prospects of a job outside of Mturk. I'm amazed actually. This place is awesome!

Wow how did you manage to do that?

Shipping rates go from 4 to 21 dollars.

Your 3rd question intrigues me as the last time I checked mturk funds are transformed into giftcard balance on amazon.com only, no other branch was supported, have you actually transferred your cash to .co.uk?

Congrats! That's better than any bonus, in my opinion.

I'm not sure if i can transfer any funds over to the gift cards yet as I read there as a 10 days waiting period for new turkers, so I am still within that period until tomorrow. I'll find out soon enough and post back what happens.
