fwiw, I wanted to stay with 7 too. It auto started while I was taking a nap a few days ago. Don't notice much of a difference at all except much much faster startup time. Went from like 3mins to 30sec. Just get rid of the bloatware/icons and what not and you'll be fine. edit: My toolbar and start button did freeze up for some reason after installation, but it can be fixed in cmd prompt or something called powershell. Just google a tutorial, annoying but only a hiccup.

From what I saw it was a dribble of so-so HITS. I actually had a thought as I was walking the dog: Given the fact that all we have heard from Amazon regarding this incident is its down for "maintenance" I wonder if there is any opportunity for compensation for the prolonged downtime? I understand a day of technical problems but this is going into day three at this point. Personally, I would just like a general response from Amazon giving information about whats going on. I would much rather know when things will be up and operational rather than constantly checking (and being annoyed) that there are no HITs loaded.
Thanks. Are you new to turk? The only guaranteed thing that I have learned while turking is that Amazon couldn't care less about the workers. They barely care about the requesters who are giving them money. I like turk, it fits my needs quite well, but nothing Amazon does with it would surprise me. They could pull the plug tonight without explaining why and it wouldn't surprise me that much.
Nope, been Turking for a about a year and a half now. I agree about the lack of response with Amazon however I guess I was feeling idealistic and hopeful that the powers that be would smile down on us and throw us a bone. We know how frustrated the workers are...I wonder if there is equal frustration on the Requester side? Me thinks that this could (at least in the short term) cause some folks to rethink the entire platform as a tool. That was the motivation for my Pollyanna-esce comment about compensation.
Their TO is all over the place. For every review that's all in the green, there's another from somebody who was handed a mass rejection. It's not that hard a task, so it's difficult to believe anybody could have misunderstood the directions so completely as to earn those rejections.
