That would be a great idea if I wasn't broke. As of now, it would be me, with sciatica and bone spurs, my hubby with his trick knee, and my 20 year old son, who will help as long as I feed him. A year ago I would have had my 3 nephews volunteering, but since I don't speak to my brother or his wife anymore, that's not gonna happen. There are a few people in my building that would probably help, but they would most likely also help themselves to my stuff.
back from two weeks without internet to find out my mother is being discharged from the hospital tomorrow (they wanted to do it tonight lol). She cannot go to the place she has to stay for two months after her transplant because she has an infection and other people with no / low immune system could get very sick from it. The hospital agreed to reserve her a room at a hotel for tomorrow night, but just KNOW i'm going to end up paying $100+ a night till friday or saturday when they check if she still has that infection to see if she can go over to the other place and if she still has the fucking infection my head is going to FUCKING EXPLODE. sorry just needed to vent.
Bet you could post a friendly ad on Craigslist ad find some nice gentlemen like corupt or myself who would be willing to spare a few hours to help.
yes a social worker set up the one night. thing is they're pushing her out the door on monday which is a holiday. her normal social worker won't be back til tuesday. she really did not need all of this extra stress. also she has not worked since the end of august and her and my dad''s income is like $20k a year because of it. She CANNOT afford to spend $100+ a night to stay at a hotel. she asked her doctor if she could go home til the weekend, but she's only at like day 25 after her transplant. also she is on antibiotics for her infection but its possible that it won't even be gone by this weekend thus more time in a hotel....
What a mess. And, of course, it'd save the hospital money if they could put her up somewhere "safe" instead of set her up to be back in the hospital even sicker, but lord knows that makes too much sense... I hope you guys get something figured out. That's an awful position to be in.
I was on a golf course as a young kid and they made a home right near one of the tees. Those suckers flew right at us when we were trying to hit our shots. Skipped that hole. Will never forget how big they looked.
Took 2:45 - took awhile for the HIT to load but I did get a bonus at the end. I'd offer, but I don't know how much good I'd do with one free hand since I'd have to use a cane. And with the way my good knee has been since yesterday, I'd also be stopping at every floor to cry. Did you guys hear that explosion in Melvindale from where you were? I heard someone say she heard it from where she was in SW Detroit.
I kinda adore cicada killers. But I also think carpenter bees are "cute." The larger the flying insect (well, the ones that don't sting people if you leave them alone) the more I like them. Now velvet ants scare the crap out of me and I'll run screaming whenever I spot one, but at least they can't fly. Except perhaps in some horror movie.
