Me too! The power was out for over 24 hours. My freezer is intact. Ice still there. Didn't open it once at all. Fridge is little cool to the touch. We opened it maybe 3 times yesterday. I wouldn't have cared if I lost food in freezer and fridge. If that's the worst that happened, I'm good.

Alrighty, noob question. Last night while I was waiting for the reset on hits I decided to get qualified with Speechpad. While I had no problems qualifying for their basic typing one and I'm waiting to hear if I've qualified for the video one, it took me a really long time to type it all out. The first one was based on upgrading air intake in a vehicle and the guy spoke super fast with a lot of technical terms I was unfamiliar with, and the video was based on Broadway which I have next to no knowledge on. I don't have a foot pedal. When I say it took a really long time... I would say it probably took me an hour if not more on the technical car upgrade, and probably longer than that for the Broadway video, even though both were approximately 5 minutes long. Is this typical to take this long, are the paying well enough to make it worth it? I type really fast, probably 110wpm, and my quality is good. Is it worth getting a pedal, do you guys actually make enough to justify the purchase? TIA

I do have a foot pedal and type pretty quickly and I have found it takes me 3-4 times the length of the transcription to do it right. I did the same thing you did and got qualified for transcriptions when I first started. I don't do them because they aren't worth the money, to me. I would say not to get a foot pedal and concentrate on getting other qualifications
