    People have gotten it with less than 2k and only in a few months. I got it about a year and a half in, on the very day I crossed 100k. When I started over 3 years ago they were handing it out almost weekly. On Thursday's to be specific. Back then people compiled all kinds of stats from new masters to try to determine what if anything could be the secret. Bottom line, it's so random it almost has to be a lottery. The only common denominator the last two times it was handed out was multiple people who got it hadn't turked in months.

    There was also a user SKB who claimed to know an mturk employee that told her it was random. Take that with a grain of salt.

    Ya know, it's possible Amazon uses a different criterion each time it chooses new Masters. Just to keep workers from figuring it out.

    Right! When I was putting things on CL and Freecycle I opened a new mail account just for them. I don't even remember what it was now. I bet it's overflowing :D

    It was December of 2014 I think...or was it 2015? That's when I got it but I can't remember exactly. It seems like I've had it forever but maybe it was 2015.

    It was about a year and a half for me. One person who got it the same time I got it said they had been turking for 6 weeks and had less than 5000. It makes no sense.

    I just realized amazon said they would send me a link to the "masters forum" but I don't think they ever did. Is that still a thing?
