At $48. Trying to find the motivation for two dollars more.

My goal was twenty, so that motivation is hiding under the couch or something.

Busy at work would be nice too because time goes by faster. I'm exhausted trying to give my cat his medicine. He's clever. He'll pretend to swallow the pill. Just when I think it's gone, he pops it out few mins later. My son suggested cutting it up and putting it in his food. That failed because he only licked his food and refused to actually chew the food so that left me with pieces of the pill to put in his mouth. Counting the days when it's over...

I've always been told to hold their mouth open put the pill in and hold it shut until they swallow. Dogs are different, but that's how I've always given cats pills.

Do you know about holding his mouth shut and rubbing his throat until he swallows? To make the pill go down. And make sure to throw the pill far enough back in his throat(and not choke 'em), so he can't spit it out. I had a cat who would throw up when we gave her a pill, so I held her mouth closed and rubbed her throat until the spasm passed. Throat rubbing is a good thing. And cats like it...well unless it's my cat, then it'll just claw you while you're sitting there with your hands around his throat.

My cats love cheese. I hide pills in cheese cubes.

Yeah that's exactly what I did while rubbing his throat. Been working ok. Just takes patience.

Food pill concealers was always our dog pill system, too. It works best when you have several dogs, all vying for the goodie bite. The sick one will get in there and try to snatch his share. Mom would have several bites all laid out and offer the pill one quickly followed by non-pill bites. They could see the next bite and would swallow the pill quickly to get the next one...Most cats don't fall for that routine. You usually have to hold them down and force the pill down. Pill dispense devices don't work, either. Of course.

I use Tomlyn Pillmasker. Wrap the pill in it. Freeze for 15 minutes on a plate. Freezing it gives hardens it so that you get at least two tries, maybe even three. I try to pop it deep enough so that she can't spit it out. I have a few Temptations ready for after the pills. She knows that after pills she gets those. Bigger pills I have to break into smaller pieces before covering them with Pillmasker. In a pinch you can try a small piece of cheese and cover the pill with it. You still have to pop it in his mouth though. Never seen a cat who would take pills willingly.

Most pills are bitter, so cats will not swallow them willingly. Crushing and mixing them with food has never worked for me. If I'm not home then hubby crushes them and mixes with a tiny amount of Gerber Ham and Gravy. Use syringe to give the mixture that way. My cat hates it, but it gets the job done.

I tried pillpoppers too, but didn't have much luck with those.

All this cat talk got me thinking seeker cat would have clawed me to shreds if I tried to keep his mouth open and shove a pill down his throat lol what's funny is this new house I am renting out has a stray cat I have been feeding that looks a lot like seeker cat did with a few minor differences.
