I installed TimerinTitleBar. It's very useful and shows me which tabs are for a hit, which is as good as changing the hit tab titles to something logical. Now if the website tabs can be changed.... :)

The official word on MTS in Firefox: Kadauchi says he's had to put off debugging it and concentrate on Chrome. He says he can't sit at the computer very long, and is making Chrome his priority.

Is there any script to be able to see the title of the hit on the hit page? I use turkmaster to mute the stuff that I've done or currently have but it gets a bit confusing without being able to see the title. Or am I looking in the wrong place? Also, is there any script that would allow me to go from the hit page to the requesters turkopticon?

Just to be clear you are only seeing part of the title as you scroll?

Do you have the Turkopticon 1 and 2 scripts downloaded?

No, I don't see the title bar at all. Or the title of the survey as it appears on turkmaster anywhere. I even tried the "make titles fit" script and nothing.

I had uninstalled the new turkopticon script and put the old one. However, testing them both now, I see no difference. They still only appear on the "your hits queue" page

Sorry, I thought I could help. I don't use Turkmaster. I didn't realize that both issues you are having are from using Turkmaster, correct? I use MakeTitlesFit and TO1 and TO2 (and I do have a few others I'm using as well).

It shouldn't be from using turkmaster. I meant to say, the titles that appear in turkmaster and on the hit selection page don't appear like they used to in the actual hit page.

The old mturk had the requester name and title in some bar at the top.

For me since I don't use Turkmaster (so don't know what it's for/does) there is a HIT DETAILS link under the Amazon logo. That is the only place I have been able to see the hit title once I click into the hit either before Accepting or after. I would like to see the title showing always.

Some members here use "TitleBar" to mean the title of the tab. There were several scripts for making the tab title more logical, but as they're outdated, all tabs say "Amazon Mechanical Turk." The new pages still have the name of the hit on at the top of the page, but not on the tab.

"Make Titles Fit" is only if you were getting titles cut off, not removed entirely.

Is that of any help? or are we talking about 2 diff things?

    Yeah, same for me.

My problem is that the name of the hit does not appear at all on the actual hit page. Just the requester name. This happens with and without that extension. I didn't know it was for the name on the tab. However, I'm not interested in the name on the tab, just on the hit page next to the requester name or something like how it used to be.

I mentioned because if you have multiple tabs open, you have to click each one to see what's there. The name at the top is gone for me too, only on some pages, without Panda Crazy or HS, which wouldn;t affect that page anyway. It's AMT who's doing it, not any of our scripts. But the requester name is always there on mine.

Are you talking about when you open up a hit or the main list of hits in All Hits? I don't see the requestor name either when I preview a hit or even after I accept it. I don't know why your image that you posted looks different than my screen but on mine there is a Hits Detail link under the Amazon logo. The whole row under the Amazon logo is white for me and the link is blue. It's in that link and the only place I can find the Requestor name, Title, and Contact Requestor link.

The MakesTitleFit is for the main list in All Hits. It wraps the title instead of showing the dots after a longer hit name.

I had to do a Refresh in Firefox and lost all my extensions and addons. I've gotten everything back but Hitscraper is not pulling up. The old Hitscraper I had was Hitscraper With Export. The only Hitscraper i found was Hitscraper With Export Legacy. Does that one work and is it accessible with worker.mturk.com/hitscraper?

Also, are we still waiting for Hit Database to come back or has it been scrapped?

So you want the requester name in the title? No promises as to when, but I'll see if I can get a script that does that among other things.

Right now once you preview/open a hit you have no clue what the title of the hit is or who the requestor is unless you click on the Hit Details link under the Amazon logo. I can't remember now what old Turk site looked like. I think it would be helpful to have that information readily visible. This box is also where you will find the Contact Requestor for those who didn't know.

I only have the problem with the Name of the hit showing up, I can see the requester name. Fibonacci is saying he can't see the name of the requester or the name of the hit though.

    Refresh
wipes out your entire profile in Firefox, your bookmarks, preferences, history, extensions, and dozens of other things. Don't use it any more.

3 scripts, and at least one will solve that:
    Dashboard Enhancer
    HIT Details Enhancer
    Always Show All Details
