It varies a lot more than it used to and honestly the last two summers for me have been better than the fall. Most colleges do a lot more summer courses than they used to. But as for when the fall semester starts it again varies. Some are starting the beginning of this month while others won't start until some time in September. Most colleges have 16 week fall semesters and they usually end sometime after Thanksgiving but before Christmas.
