I missed the whole kerfuffle, and I don't have time to Twit. When did this happen? If I have just $2.09 in my account, having withdrawn last night, is it safe to think the whole thing passed me by, or is it still going on? BTW--I like your summation of capitalism. I'm in TN. The Trop is the closest casino to me without going down to Tunica which is 4 hours away. You're like 3 hours away. We've been going there since 2008ish just a few times a year for fun. I only gamble a couple hundred bucks each trip. I used to have a yearly vegas trip for my birthday but that place has gone into the toilet in recent years. It's definitely still going on. I wouldn't do any transfers until next week when hopefully they've resolved all this. Most of us still have payments accounts in the negative with our original withdrawal amount having disappeared (because its not counted towards the negative balance). The withdrawals have gone through but I would be careful doing it until this gets resolved. If you happen to attempt more than 1 withdrawal I would expect the money to show up & they put your account into the negative as well. This is the biggest screw up I've seen in the 6 years of being a turker.
Speaking of gambling I'm gonna be really disappointed if there isn't a rags to riches MTurk story out of all this. Like someone who's been slugging along doing MTurk for years taking out the few thousand dollars they got overpaid and then going to a casino and turning that into a fortune and then of course starting their own worker crowdsourcing platform and starting out with good intentions and then just ends up exploiting workers just like Bezos so they can have enough capital to outbid Trump for New Zealand.

Sometime Thursday morning amazon payments was broken and not letting people send money to their bank account. Then it appeared everything was all fixed in the afternoon. Hell even before I went to bed I checked my account and I'd gotten my one payment. Then I woke up to find out that all my failed payments came in too.
Some saying it won't load but it worked fine for me. for what its worth I sent an email with my details & a screenshot of the deposits to the worker support email just for documentation purposes. When it comes to money I wanna have proof in case this ends up getting worse.
The fact that there's a show called Undercover Billionaire is like further proof to me we are in the last stages of Capitalism and the U.S. Empire crumbling. Just like there's a game show where people go on in the hopes of paying off their student loans. It's insanity!!!
Yeah last night I went maybe 9$ over on my grocery store trip but I had 15~ to transfer back over into a -25 something balance so when it all shakes out at least I won't be paying overdraft fees at my bank... I hope. There are probably a lot of turkers though who were like, woo hoo rent money! and spent it like whatever and I have no idea how those sorts of situations are going to be resolved. Abandoned accounts and debt collectors? who knows.. But I've worked ... I wanted to say hard but I cant I worked easy but since it started with google street view hits back in the early 2000's with this account, I mostly just want to tread lightly here at least until we get some kind of notice from amazon about what the f they're gonna do here. Right now I just want that 125$ check from equifax so I can go buy weed and a pizza.
