Oh I completely understand that this is the rational for doing it or justification anyway. Will it help more than it hurts though? Do you trust your government to play nice? I don't. Cops kill people all the time. Give them a lockdown curfew to enforce and combined that with a rightfully rebellious and distrusting public and you could have potential bloodbaths in certain cities if violence breaks out and is that worth it? I don't think so.
Yeah and honestly I originally posted that first news link because it was about how this pandemic isn't as bad as the media or officials are making it out to be.
