I am working towards a Canon 5D Mark II. I should be able to get either a refurb or used one for $1200-1300.

So far I have got $520 saved. I have made $293 already on Mturk and have been at it since March 8th. Definitely moving in the right direction!

I am a nature photographer and have a big backpacking trip planned in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado in late July, so I have got this along with some significant fitness goals that I am working on.

That's a great goal! I have the Canon 7D and periodically have a debate with myself as to whether I should go full frame or not. What are you shooting with now?

I have a 5D Mark II and a 5D Mark III, if you haven't tried out a Mark III I suggest it, I know it's a bit more pricey but the AF performance, ISO performance, WB, everything are just substantially better.

I'm also a nature photographer and do landscapes and time-lapses of the desert.

Either way the Mark II is a great camera and revolutionized the DSLR world when it came out!

I have been using a 20D as well, I love it but it is time to pass her down to my daughter. She has been a great camera. I am saving for the 5d Mark III but I keep going back and forth between that and the 7D. Can't really go wrong with either.

The 7D Mark II is going to be BADASS from what I can tell too, if you have any EF-S glass it'll work on that also since you have a 20D.

7D Mark II???? I've never heard of that one. I haven't felt a need to upgrade but that sounds like something to look in to!!

The rumors are that they're supposed to be released sometime this year, it's going to be an awesome cropped sensor camera if the rumors are right.

Up to $430 from my Mturk account! I have not been able to be as consistent as I would like. I travel for work and it goes out the window. But, nevertheless, keep moving the needle.

Keep plugging away! You will be there before you know it!! I can't imagine that your photos will be any better than they are right now though.

Keep going! I feel you on the full frame completely since I shoot mostly nature as well I was just talking to bobbie since they have a 20D already. The 5D series is fantastic, and definitely worth it. You'll love it with the 17-40 on there, I had a 17-40 for a long time and just wanted to get into astro-photography stuff too so I upgraded to the 16-35 f/2.8, but the overall difference at f/5.6 and higher isn't really noticeable.

You should check out my friend David Kingham. He does astro-photography workshops and has a pretty nice gallery online. http://www.davidkinghamphotography.com/night He and I do a lot of hiking together.

Well change of plans, ordered a 60D today. My earnings have flatlined a bit, and I got a fatal diagnosis on my vehicle. So, I bought the 60D which will be a big upgrade for me, and I will change my goal to down payment for a new 4WD. Cheers!
