Judge the Sentiment of a Keyword Expressed by the Author (US)

Requester: CrowdSource Reward: $0.21 per HIT Duration: 15 minutes
Qualifications Required: Total approved HITs is not less than 1000, HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 98, Location is US. This HIT is easy and fast (until you have to translate a page) and the pay is good.

The pay is decent. Those take me about 2 minutes each to do, so that equates to about $6/hr. They're a little dull to me though, get bored pretty quick after a few of them.

I really wish my approval rate was at its ole 99.3% like it used to be :(

I will be doing this HIT until it's gone as soon as I get past 98...

These are still going strong....still had 4000+ hits left a couple of minutes ago. I had to take a break though...suffering samsung and apple burnout....wish would get some other topics.

I've done some of these, too. Each one takes me about 2 minutes, so I agree the pay is just average. I can only do about 20 at a time though. The are boring as all get out.

I've done about 100 of these in the past 24 hours, and all of them were accepted.

CrowdSource is great about approving HITs. All of the work I've done for them has been approved.

Yeah they're good about approving, very good at making sure they pay you as little as possible. I can do them in a minute flat by opening up the three links in separate tabs and then closing them after I submit the HIT (using the clock to my advantage).

They pay so little so they can afford to not reject work. They "try" to aim for $7.50/hour for their HITs, but that's usually only if you get a qual from them.

I just got done doing 100 of these. I'm sick of hearing about samsung vs. apple.

There's a good 1400 left for people who have stamina.

If CrowdSource is considered a cheap requester, I'd love to hear about the fair ones you know of. :)

Well I will say that after I got used to these, I was able to do them in about 80 seconds each. That's almost $9.50/hr, so a pretty good rate. I just got bored to tears after a handful of them though and had to stop.

I wouldn't call them "cheap" necessarily - it all depends on the type of HIT they post, if you have the qual for it, and your own personal skills. Their writing HITs are usually excellent, but rare anymore. However, they don't want to reject people, and would rather pull a qual, so they keep the pay slightly lower than "awesome" so they can afford a few mistakes. I will say that they used to be a much better requester, and things have changed lately. Still, they are one of my regulars.

As far as what requesters I work for, there's not really a set group. I have my regulars, but I will skip even their HITs if they don't pay at least 10c/min or $6/hour. There are some requesters I work for that most people hate -- just not their cup o tea. Contrarily, there are requesters that most other Turkers fight over HITs for, and I think they take too much time for the pay.

Wow, they've been posting these every day. They have over 9,000 up now. Mind-numbing, but I'm getting quicker at them. I had to take a break though.

Wish I could enjoy these more, but I am too stupid to do this type of HIT efficiently.

Too often, I see 'neutrality' in an article that many others will judge as either positive or negative.

Then I waste time looking for the "sentence that most strongly persuaded" me. My choice is often based on a full reading of the article, not "strongly persuaded" by a single sentence.

I too tried them and found it frustrating. Guess I read into things too much. After 5 mins I returned the hit. Haven't tried another one...

The 9000 is down to 8000 and having done my share for this morning time to take a break. About finding sentences....I have found that if there is an opinion it is usually in the first or more often the last paragraph. Haven't kept track but would guess over 50 % I have marked as neutral. Most seem to just be articles stating facts.
I am wondering now if this will be like other crowdsource projects and there will be a limit on how many you can do....guess will just keep pluggin away and find out.
