I god.. I have like 1000 pending from this. I have never had a problem before but if all of these are rejected i will be in the 60% approved... I don't know how i would recover...

He's got another batch up right now, he keeps putting work up every day but can't accept or reject the HITs i've already done going back 10 days..

Just want them all settled one way or another now, it doesn't sit right with me :/ I need to see the damage lol

find something that's easy to do until they come through - that's the only advice i can give. you want 95 approvals for every 5 rejections to stay at or above 95%

edited to add: if you fall below 70% it could be very bad, very quickly

Yeah if you're that worried about it start finding batches to sure up your numbers before he axes you (if he does) you know the rest could approve, some requesters do their rejections first and then let the good work auto-approve...

I have 45 pending from last week. I remember almost none of the sites were displaying properly so that was getting me nervous. He has auto approval set to a week, or at least his currently posted HITs do, so they should be getting approved in a few hours.

Well, there are only a few reasons why so many HITs would be rejected. One is that he wrote lousy instructions that were too hard for the majority of people to follow. Another would be that something's messed up in his approval system, like the data he's looking at has somehow been scrambled, or some automated verification system has gone loco and is just rejecting everything it looks at. The last is that he's a scammer, and he's collecting the results from everyone's work without having to actually pay for them.

Of course, Amazon will just send you the standard "We don't get involved in requester-worker disputes" E-mail, even though it should be a huge red flag to them that there are thousands of HITs being rejected, so you'll have to basically eat the big steaming plate of excrement being served to you and like it.

Truly is sad to see this happening to workers - and for many reasons... All that time put into working only to get slapped in the face.

Anyone want to link me to the l2w TO? I am terrible at navigating that website and refuse to use their plug in.

I think it's just one of those HITs that nobody would have been absolutely correct 100% of the time on as there were quite a few variables.. You just had to use your best judgement and be correct 95% of the time I guess.

Anything that looked like a newspaper article, news story on politics, crime, sports, music, etc I marked as this is a news article, along with anything that had government statistics in.

Anything that was a blog post, or about the weather, or about a college course etc I marked no.

This is what he asked for this is what he got :S

To just mass reject everything off hand is wrong whichever way you look at it. I'm not sure if he's a scammer or not cuz he has approved work for me in the past, I just think it's a really bad set up

Thankfully all 45 of mine did approve. Unfortunately a lot of you probably just managed to get too many check questions wrong leading to the blanket rejection of everything.

    Greetings from Mechanical Turk.

We regret to inform you that we have suspended your Mechanical Turk account effective immediately. This action was taken because we received repeated complaints from Requesters regarding the quality of your work. In particular, you were blocked by several Requesters.

If you are a US Worker, you may withdraw any remaining balance on your account by logging on to your account on http://payments.amazon.com . If you have an Indian worker account and your PAN, EPIC, or Passport has been submitted and approved, then your balance has already been automatically remitted via check.

    The Mechanical Turk Team

Received this today :( I guess the Mechanical Turk horror stories were true after all..

He never replies anyway that's what makes it worse :( I did message him a few times to ask for the block to be removed, on the condition I promise not to work on his HITs anymore. Then I said feel free to reject every single one of the pending hits, i'd have gladly taken the hit and worked my way back.. It's not enough for him though, just ignored. It's the same with ProductRnR you just get a wall of silence.. The other requester who blocked me I haven't ever seen again so I can't contact them either..

Guess i'll go and try to make a pest of myself to amazon, gonna at least try and fight it :(
