Thanks! Is this the case for ALL take-and-bake-pizza stores, then?

I'll tentatively say yes... is there another example you have in mind?

Little Caesar's is not take-and-bake. Their pizza is hot and ready. Carryout only is OK according to the HIT instructions.

Oh hi me again! I have another question!

How do you feel about Honeybaked Ham? I have always marked them as restaurants because the ones I have been in (admittedly thats only 2 locations) have sit down seating and serve sandwiches and sides. It wasn't until I started working on these hits that it was brought to my attention that not all Honeybaked Hams are like that.

So what say you for those?

I have a question as well about this other weird place called Casey's.... Casey's General Store to be precise. I been marking those as restaurants since they sell pizzas and have delis and all that. In my mind, I imagine this as a small store that people go in to buy their pizzas. BUT I never really been in one.

What should we mark those as? Restaurant or not?

Funny you mention Casey's. Casey's is a convenience store chain that happens to sell pizza. The pizza is really good, for what it's worth. They're all around my local area. They've just started dabbling into pizza delivery in a limited fashion, but generally people go there and pick the pizza up. You can call in orders ahead of time or go in and order on the spot. I used to order for my boss back in high school/college - she and her boyfriend picked up pizza there every Friday.

Nothing that is a large chain like Papa Murphy's that I'm aware of, but I know of some local independent "take and bake" shops that I expect could come up in HITs. I can recall seeing at least one other "take and bake" place in doing your HITs. I think it was located on the east coast, and may have been a small (2-3 locations?) chain, but can't recall a name.

New HITs are going up now!

I'll try to get back to some of these questions later today - we realize sometimes there's a fine line between restaurant and non-restaurant, so don't stress over those for now...

For the new folks: we did a quick analysis of the test batch and promoted some of you, for the rest sit tight and we'll try to add more of you in the future.

I would really like a chance to do these HITs - I've requested qual many times but have no other way of requesting. Is there any way to get qualified?

    Thanks!

Another question, if we find an official site for a restaurant that seems to be a little dated, should we check facebook and/or third party sites as well just to be sure they're actually still open? Would this be a situation in which you'd want 2-3 links for evidence? Are there any other scenarios you can think of when you'd prefer more than just an official site?

I usually stop searching if I've found an official site, but it has occurred to me that in some cases the store could be closed without taking their website down.

Thanks for answering all of our questions. I imagine it must be a little overwhelming at times, but I know myself and other workers want to provide you with the best data possible for your project and we really appreciate it when you take the time to respond.

    Regards.

EDIT: It seems this was asked/answered elsewhere:

Is there a specific reason why you do not add a comment box? There have been many times where I knew for a fact the place was still open because it was near me or I wanted to mention a crucial piece of information but there is no where to put it. Is it possibly a sensory overload thing because everyone would be leaving random pieces of information?

There actually used to be a comment box in the HITs. I miss it sometimes. I don't recall why they removed it when they tweaked the layout but I'm sure he/she will answer this when they can.

As far as the family friendly rule goes, Hookah and Cigar bars are a no go, but what about Wine Bars that also serve meals?

I believe when asked this before, they said they removed it because there was no useful way to manage that information in their database.
