  3. It feels as though the birds have been gone forever. Lousy money but so much more fun than anything else.

Question for those of you that have used mturk as a primary income source (or even part time). Do you list mturk on your resume and if you do how do you list it? I have done mturk full time for the last 2 years. I am getting ready to submit a resume for a job and I would like to list it rather than a huge employment gap but i'm not sure what to put. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The money wasn't terrible but mindless batches are just so much nicer. Plus, CUTE BIRDS!

  8. I would list it as self-employed thru Amazon doing crowd sourcing. You are right in not having an empty unexplainable hole in your resume.

  9. That wierd five cent do a google search for "dog" hit has already been approved for me.

I wouldn't put it on a resume but would have a set response to say when/if you are asked about the gap and what you did during that time. It's already so hard to explain what exactly turkers do, and w/ a wide range of types of HITS to do, you could go on for pages on what you did. A lot of people also look down on people who do surveys and whatever online. I know a lot of people here don't even mention turking to their friends.

I'm a part-time adjunct professor who teaches business writing (we do a lot of resumes), but I am new to turking, so take this with a grain of salt.

It's better than a gap. You can list it as freelance then go into detail with skills, and consider doing a functional or combination resume rather than a chronological resume. http://www.amu.apus.edu/career-services/resume-cover-letter/resume-samples.htm

Let me know if you have any questions, and I might be able to help.

I think most of it can be consolidated into freelance writing and data entry.

Oh geez, I don't have the qualification but I'm a serious bird watcher and I love birds so much. Any tips on getting the qualification to begin with this?

    edit: NVM, got it!
