The 24 hour limit (~3,800) has to be in a specific 24-hour window. The day for Amazon, being based in Washington, West Coast, etc., starts and ends at 12:00 AM PST, Pacific Standard Time. If you do 3,000 before 12:00 AM PST and 3,000 after 12:00 AM PST, you are OK.

However, if you try to do 6,000 in the 24-hour period consisting of 12:00 AM Day 1, 11:59 PM Day 1, you will be stopped at 3,800.
