I don't understand his scoring system. He did email me once when I questioned how the scores were calculated and he said he looks at the work done and daily adjusts them. Didn't help clue me in.

My best and current score is 88 but I don't do his hits anymore. I only did them to get my numbers up.

Honestly, I have the deepest suspicion that he grades on some kind of curve. "He", if there's truly only one person doing the grading, certainly couldn't look at the general work of everyone who does his hits, much less every card. I suspect that it involves the work of those he's already granted the trusted worker status to and goes from there somehow.

As long as your doing decent work, why would you get flagged? I've did over $200.-$300. worth of Hits for one requester?

I was just somehow thinking to be making $15 hr on Oscar hits you pretty much have to be leaving the info blank. But I guess there are some fast typers out there.

there are too many better hits out there, now that I am off my 10 day restriction and over 1000 hits I am done fooling with Oscar Smith hits.

That's certainly possible and with the admission of an Oscar rating of 30, I wouldn't be surprised.

Assuming it's the 2 cent hits:

    $15/hour =
    750 hits
    12.5 hits per minute
4.8 seconds per hit (that also has to include load/submit time)

Considering some of the cards are hardly readable, upside down, sideways, etc. that's a bit of a stretch to believe unless it's horribly inaccurate. Disclaimer: of course I might be missing something.

I don't never do Oscar Hits no more. I recently eliminated them completely unless I get a bunch of rejections, which I don't have. But as far as how many you can do in a day? 750 a day is about an average amount I could do in a day, if I strictly worked on them all day. Which I'm not going to do anymore. Your factors are reasonable numbers, possibly to someone who is at a little bit slower pace, or don't work as much. You forget people type at different speeds also. For example my spouse only types around 55 wpm, where I type in the range of 115-120 wpm. You probably notice I'm on here with my coffee at 2:45 am in the morning every morning Monday-Sunday. And of coarse it's 10:16 and I'm still turking. heh But I'm off to bed, and I'll cya early in the morning! Good luck to everyone tomorrow and hope you have a good day.

My Oscar score went from 81 to 89 overnight after doing 102 of his hits yesterday.

I have mixed feelings about this requester. My score was fairly high so I requested the trusted worker qual. Within hours, he dropped my score. Regardless, I decided to try to raise my score again to receive the qual, my score has not changed at all (neither up or down) and this was months ago. It's like it's been permanently locked there so I don't do his HITs anymore.

I requested trusted worker a long time ago before I even knew about the 90% threshold. It's still remains on my pending list.

I wonder what percentage of his workers are biased out of the United States vs. Other requesters. I ask this because if so many Indians and others are limited to work, and they obviously do a lot of Oscar Hits, thousands of them, I wonder how many of his trusted workers are Indians vs. Americans. Most workers look for quality workers from the United States, but I'm starting to think Oscar is milking more money by only giving Indians the qualification hehe. Because they will sit down and do his minimum paying work for hours and hours obviously.

Anyone else noticed that there have been a lot of repeated cards recently?

Yes definitely! I'm thinking maybe I did them wrong and they threw those back in the mix and then I got them again lol? In that case, I try to do it differently that time...

maybe those repeating cards are the control? they use those to see if you are doing what you are supposed to be doing rather than goofing off and just trying to get thru the cards quick so you can make more money.

I doubt his system is anywhere near that precise. Just got scanned too many times. That people goof off and try to get through the cards quickly isn't a secret and they get paid too.

Hi, I haven't done an Oscar Smith job yet, but have read his instructions. For some reason I'm having trouble understanding what they want us to do with the logo. By 'cropping', do they mean 'delete' the logo, or cut it down? What are we cutting it down to? I emailed him twice and got the same answer -

"I would like for you to just select the company logo/image and no text. If the card does not contain any image/logo, then you may select the entire card."

My question is, what are we selecting the logo/image or the entire card for. What are we supposed to do after selecting the logo or card? Some posts refer to 'fitting the box' or 'framing', which aren't in the preview instructions. Are there training/test HITs that explain all this, before real work begins ?

All you have to do is click and drag what you want covered. You'll see a frame around it, then submit. Real easy but I don't get how that helps them.

Okay - and thank you so much. I kept thinking they can't just mean that we select it and then just submit-but I guess its so. Thanks a million!

    Hi,

Just select the company logo or company name or the whole card by dragging the mouse, a box will appear then you can submit the HIT. This is just like selecting the text or picture in a word document using the mouse.
