QUESTION: Can you Turk from a tablet or iPad? I am pregnant and can not sit in one spot very long which is making it hard to work. If I buy a tablet can I move around the house and turk? Even if I got one with a little keyboard to make it easier. I have a laptop, but it's big and bulky and too hard to carry around IMO. And to contribute something relevant: The Public Group is back if you want to take your chances https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=26V8XBAT2D5NQEYL14H0MG5X6SR15Q
I bet that made you feel warm and fuzzy when those rejections came back! The way he was talking I thought it was going to drag on a bit.
It depends on the HITs. Some people use tablets to Turk, but I personally would think it would be frustrating and slow. Other HITs specifically say that you need a particular browser or a PC instead of a Mac and those would definitely not work on a tablet. Have you considered getting an ultrabook or Macbook Air? They aren't too much bigger than a tablet.
Are those the tiny laptops? I've looked at them at the store. I guess they would be the logical choice. What good is a tablet if you can't do anything on it? I know you can't play facebook games on them either. LOL
This would also work for 99% of HITs. Some specify that they don't work with Google Chrome or need Windows, but they are few and far between.
I would think you could do easier hits like a lot of CF ones. Might be harder to do some of the surveys and web search ones.
Tablets, as they currently stand, are mostly consumption devices. The new Surface tablets are trying to change that, but as of now most people just browse the web, watch Netflix, and play games on them. You can use them for true productivity, but a lot of the time it feels like stuffing a square peg in a round hole.
If the chromebook is that cheap now I wonder what type of deal I could get on black friday. Thanks for letting me know about it, def. go with it. If it's cheap its for me.
Goodmorning everyone!! I bet those 11 rejections look nice to you compared to what you had yesterday. I'm definitely appreciating the 4 rejections i have lol
Has anyone seen the follow up Larry Rudman survey? What about getting that HIT approved? ...the same goes for SIRIUS project (10 days now)
