on the cs sentiment hits, what are you guys doing about the court cases or internal business news? some of the articles present information in a neutral tone, but the facts show that the company is acting positively or negatively.

Per the instructions: The author's opinion of the brand's product should be used in determining sentiment for the brand itself.

For the most part of these sentiment hits:

After I read part of the article, I usually find the title is the best to describe the sentiment, IF IT'S NEUTRAL. For positive/negative, it's definitely in the article itself. I guess this is acceptable since I haven't been cut off and they're still approving little by little as I go...

yah that's what i figured. i read too much into things... "well if the author chose to write about this company given the circumstances, then doesn't that in and of itself indicate an intention to shed a negative light on..." etc...

yeah, i'm never worried about rejections from cs, but if i felt a little more comfortable with my choices, especially finding sentences that adequately support 'neutral' positions, i could get these done a lot faster. oh well. literally nothing else going on it seems, so might as well keep plugging away at these...

Im finding a lot of negtivity in the cs sentiment hits. If it says Fails to meet ..deliver..bugs..etc Im marking them as neg, anything where anticipated growth is down..markets fall..etc - neg.

Yea, you are overthinking it. The fact that the author wrote about it doesn't necessarily mean they chose to, they may have been assigned the topic.

I thought it was crazy that people were pre-ordering phones to be released in June 2013, turns out these are old articles.

You have to utilize the search function and skim the articles, if you read the entire article, they're not worth it at all

Question on CS sentiment hits. If you pick "neutral" do you have to cut and paste a sentence supporting this choice?

It's a lot harder to pick one than when it's positive or negative.
