Morning all...sleep disturbances meant I barely turked yesterday, even though I lurked off and on. Today isn't looking any better, though I hope that I'm wrong.

 

THanks Turkingbear! I had the sneaking suspicion that is the case. and I can't afford to let 3 weeks of money go down the tubes like that

I just made a live person call to them, telling them that I can't change my email, because I don't want to mess up my Mturks. What's crazy is that the regular amazon, the payments and the MTurks are all logged in via 1 login, but they "don't have anything to do with each other". I explained that I am losing money since the MTurks won't let me work if the Amazon payment is down. hopefully, I will hear back with an email around 10:30. but I will call back and INSIST that they have to make sure I use the same email!

I've heard that it can be difficult to get someone on the line that knows about MTurk and Payments. Keep at it though!

 

Hey what is it that y'all use to get a notification when a new hit pops up that you're waiting for and what not?

 

They had better not screw up my account, now that I've gotten the hang of MTurks and starting to actually make some decent HITS!! :-( I've had the regular amazon account for years. Not sure why they can't verify me, except that maybe someone from Amazon entered my name on the system and THEY mis-spelled it? I can't imagine I would have let it go into the system and not notice that I spelled my own name wrong!

In the meantime, I can't do anything on MTurks.... except watch the HITS pass me....

 

You are correct Bella! Something went wonky with my account when I first started and I made phone calls and emailed back and forth with them for a week and a half. I was ready to have a stroke and then all of a sudden, everything was back up and running.

 

Same with me, I started in 2009 then didnt touch it again until last year. As I got out of my newbie stage my whole account was disabled. It took a week to get it straightened out and now it's fine.

 

Alright time to push myself to finish this. I took a two hour break. Be back in a bit
