I don't want to be a downer, but dont get your hopes up too quick. one time Movie Enquirer made me think i could do it because it didnt tell me i was ineligible after i put my zip code BUT then at midnight it told me i couldnt. haha i'm not saying thats definitely going to happen but there's a chance.

edit: directed towards people who usually cant do it

i have a sneaking suspicion we're all being weiner teased here...

i returned to continue working on the hit and it asked for my zip code/cable carrier again. me thinks it's not really analyzing any information until after east coast midnight...

    HOPE I'M WRONG though!!!

  6. Darn, your kid's expensive. :) I bought $120 worth of educational toys for my 6 yr old. He'll probably cry all Christmas Day. But, I just can't go over the top every year. He's super spoiled. We bought the Wii system for him when he was 4. I don't know what the heck we were thinking. UGH! I'm trying to avoid buyer's remorse this year.

I actually talked him down from the Wii U, I know the price on that will go way down very soon and i'm not here for Nintendo to gouge me for the holiday season...but yeah still pricy. I bought a Kindle Fire for my youngest, he has autism and i've heard that iPads are good for them because of the touch screen...except I can't afford a $500 iPad so I went with the cheaper alt. and we'll get the iPad probably next year.
I also got them little stuff and we do 12 days of Christmas stocking stuffers...AND his birthday is the next day. so i'll be turking until i pass out

nothing wrong with educational toys though! i'm getting my oldest a telescope

  20. That's really nice stretching it out for 12 days. I get too overwhelmed by planning for one day - teehee. Anyway, yes I think the Ipad would be excellent for your son with autism. My husband got me one when it first came out, but after only a few short months I was so bothered by it. I like a laptop and desktop. It's a tactile thing. The Ipad obviously then became my son's thing. I'd download educational games and I was happy that there was so much he could do without knowing how to read. He had a speech therapist very early on when he was 3-5 yrs. Thing about the Wii is that it's good to keep kids physical in the winter months, because it's not a traditional type of video play. I bet you could get an older version Ipad like model 1 or 2 for about 150 on CL. This is a lot cheaper in the long run than buying all of the game boards, etc for spec needs kids. Anywho, I wish you the best of luck. You sure are one dedicated mom!
