I was just informed of a site almost the same as mturk in all respect, except that it claims to pay through paypal. A former Mturk Requester informed me about this site and that he has posted some tasks on that site and will like me to work there (since I'd worked on numerous tasks for him in the past which was really appreciated!!!). It seems to me that this Requester himself is the owner of that site since when I asked there a question about how will I be paid on the site using their "Contact Us" form, the same Requester gave the reply. However, the site is very new and I ain't sure of it's genuineness. It's currently in Beta testing mode and right now, I can see hardly 38 tasks there. I've done 4 tasks and am waiting to see whether they get approved or otherwise. If I find this site to be authentic, I'll let you know, assuming you don't already know it (many of you here might already know it, maybe even before me).
Justfight, I know the site you are talking about, but I don't think it is open to all. As far as I know, you need to live in US and give details like state and zip code to work there. All the tasks too are from a single requester. It is almost a replica of mturk, barring a few things. How did you clear the membership hurdle? As far as I know, you need to live in US to join there. They are asking details like contact no, state (US State) and zip code. Let me know, I might try.
Just fill out the form providing the requested info, that's it. For state, choose the option "Outside US" (or it's something similar), probably the first one, from the drop-down menu. Then a text box will open beside that drop-down menu, fill up your State's name there and then the rest of the form as you usually do. However, I've done 5 tasks and all of them are still pending. I probably won't go ahead until they're approved. I really doubt the authenticity of this site. But maybe I'm wrong, let's hope I'm. Forgive if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes since I'm doing this in a rush. Also I may not be available for one day or maybe few days.
If you're good at writing letters, proposals etc. there is a site where you can write these on spec. and the requestor buys the one he likes the best (most have already been pre-paid) for $10.00 each. They pay through Paypal too. It's called Letterep.com. The even notify you by email everytime a new request comes in. I noticed that the average number of submits for each request is between 3 and 6 so the odds for having your work chosen are good, at least.

Write articles like Sonica said. But, instead of selling them for a few bucks, make recurring income on it. I write for Bukisa. They pay through PayPal monthly.

I'm registered at microworkers.com. It's similar to mTurk but much much smaller. I mainly do articles which pay about the same as on mTurk. But they have a lot of hits that ask you to sign up somewhere, which I don't do, never ever. I made about $8 in 2 weeks there.

I came across one website called www.shorttask.com. this site offers paypal withdrawel for minimum payout 10$.just try it. it resembles mturk. but my personal opinion is Mturk is a best.
Beware of www.shorttask.com IT'S 100% SCAM. Search the net and you will know about the history of it's creator. You may get paid for a couple of times as all these scam sites follow this practice to gain members' confidence. Also I have heard similar stories about http://www.microworkers.com/ Personally I have no issues with mturk till now but I can see few people have had bad experiences. But I can still say it's safe to stick to mturk.

They make us work and then forefiet the account with out any prior information, and only a single reason to give that we have violated the TOA. What the hell is that.
