Can't Find Good HITs? 12/22

ugh, i don't want to be me at all, at least job-wise. if i could just sit around and program then yeah, for the money anyway. but between being a pretty mediocre graphic designer in an industry where visuals are always what sell the product, and having no desire and little ability to deal with business concerns, this is totally the wrong profession for me. i'm an academic, for better or worse. it's taken me a long time to accept that but it's what i'm best at and where i can thrive with minimal effort. if i've learned anything in the years since i graduated college, it's that it's not necessarily about finding the perfect job for what you want to do in life, but finding one that at least gives you enough time and money to pursue your other interests until you can actually make a living doing them.

You guys must get a lot more rep, in general, than me. I've gotten mostly good comments (with a few bad ones thrown in for good measure), but on the whole, I just don't get many reps, period. I must kind of fly under the radar.

I forget to give rep a lot of the time, especially if it's because of a HIT that I get distracted by. The thanks button is much easier and much more visible.
