  1. So 1 Rupee = 1 american cent?

Is a rupee a coin or paper money?

  2. A rupee is in existence a coin money in our nation..It was paper money in the olden days. Now a note(paper money) starts from 5 Rupee

As u see ryt now ..its kinda 0.017$ = 1 rupee

$ in United States ===========> Rupee in india
    cent '''''''''''''''''''''''' ===========> Paisa '''''''''

In fact if indians could earn the same way on mturk as Americans do ...we all would have been rich ppl here :)

but bad luck we have less pay and availability of hits with regard to the americans :)

When I hear of exchange rates I always wonder what that translates to for spending. Because we can look at the fact that $1 is equal to less than two Rupees, but we - in the US - don't know how much things costs there. Well, I don't, at least.

Right now a gallon of gas costs around $3.40.
A cheap pair of shoes costs at least $12.
    A two-liter of Coca-Cola costs $1.50.
A cheap loaf of bread is $1.79.

What would those things costs there?

  7. First a correction 1$ is not less than 2rupees

    watch carefully 1 $ = 55.7 rupees

Now i can clarify your doubts with same items here

    a gallon of gas = 3.4 $ = 3.4 * 55.7 = say 300rs, i think its the same here:)

    a cheap pair of shoes - 12$ = 600 Rs. same availabilty :)

a loaf of bread ..i am not quite sure

but a packet of bread with some 20 slices costs just 15Rupees here

to sum up dollar money converted to rupees is always a blessing for we indians especially at this time when dollar value is on a hike :)

Oh, I had that wrong, sorry. :/

Yes, a loaf of bread is about 20 slices here as well. So your 20 slices is 15Rupees and ours would be 99.56Rupees. I bet your bread is better quality at that price as well. The bread I buy to get decent quality is near $3 or 166Rupees.

But then the difference is in how much we're each able to make per day. A $3 loaf of bread is 10 percent or less of what I make in a day on here. I think the percentage is more for you.

Sorry, I find stuff like this really interesting. hahaha

  9. u don need to be soorry....its just sharing piece of information...when gas, shoes and some other items matched ...bread made a difference...
U know 1Kuwait dinar = 186 rupees= some 3.38 $ ...so gues how much wud the things charge there ?

American have high probability of doin hits compared to indians

The reason why AMazon pays India, the only nation after U.S. is bekoz 40% of amazon workers are from our nation..intially with less experience i cud make only 1 $ or so in a day...but as days passed i am now able to catch up some 6 or 7$ daily when things are good
