I do editing and writing HITs, mostly for Crowdsource. I don't have, nor do I want, either of Amazon's Master's quals. They're pretty much worthless except in that they let you not see CAPTCHAs anymore.
Too much. FICA taxes ream me, but I at least get something back from the Earned Income Credit. It's gonna be even worse this year.
@Slicer You are a real player in Mturk. What I really surprised is with your bonus figures and approval rates after doing 27K+ HITs Accepted. Really awesome man. More and more wishes.
Not at all. The HITs I do are either much lower-paying or much higher-paying than that. ~3000 of those HITs were $0.05, but that was before I started writing and editing, which pays dollars, not cents.
Hey Slicer, It is Larry from the other forum. Ever since Spamgirl banned me from the forum, I have a hard time keeping up with M-Turk and especially CS. Is there something going on with CS, am I missing something big time. I have seen very little or no work for CS for months now. I cant get reply on any emails that I've sent regarding tests, quals or anything else for that matter. Do you have any inside knowledge or info. Thanks man. P.S.- My use of the word big time, is that a compound adjective and should it be hyphenated? Thanks again, Slicer.
It's not just you- there hasn't been anything for work in this last week. You should have come to the last Editor Hour. As "big-time" is an informal term, it's hard to define it properly. Generally, only hyphenate adjectives when they're used *as adjectives* (before the word) according to CS rules.
Yeah, I had it scheduled and I messed around and got myself caught up in the NBA playoffs. I am kicking myself in the ass for that one, cause I need all the help I can get. If I am going to work as a freelance writer, my grammar and sentence structure needs some serious work.
Dang. This is four years... But making enough to survive. HITs Accepted 5815 — ... Submitted 3781 65.0% ... Returned 1827 31.4% ... Abandoned 207 3.6%
Im so sorry to spam this thread, but, GO HEAT! On a side note, just keep submitting writing HIT's. Everyone knows thats where the mTurk money is at, and if I have learned anything in my life it's that there are no secrets to improving. Just pure experience is unmatchable, hell, write a thousand articles. The kinks will work themselves out as you go
