    Usharani,
What was the content of the mail. I avoid this requester because I got some bad experience from this requester. I done some good work and then they rejected my work with their system of wrong evaluation techniques. So me stopped doing their HITs. My advice to all is to avoid this requester to be safe in MTurk.

P.S. They given some bonus to me as a compensation, but my approval rate gone down. So a BIG NO to this requester forever.

I've had a warning from Redwood before.. They gave me 3 rejections and I believed them to be incorrect so I emailed them to ask and instead of replying they just blocked me.. My approval rate is 99.5% so i know I do good work :) They are a funny requester they will accept a lot of hits then just randomly reject and block you for no reason.. They have some kind of screwed up system for judging work but yeah forget them.

I am so glad that someone else has mentioned this! It seems like something is up with Redwood lately.

I have a great record, no rejections from Redwood, approval rating of 99.9%. I am a professional proofreader and editor, and I'm quite certain that my work for Redwood was up to their standards. Last week, I was doing a bunch of their HITS in a row when I got a message on the screen that my work was not up to their quality. I was stunned. So, I tried another type of their jobs and it let me work no problem. (Same type of job, longer audio.)

I messaged them to find out what the deal was. No response.

I kept working on these other HITS until I received the same message for one of those. Now I'm just mad at Redwood. I just don't believe that it's an issue of quality.

In all honesty, they don't pay much, but it was really nice to bust through those to keep my approval rating tip-top.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Something is definitely fishy with them right now, and they're in some sort of a state of transition. It would be helpful if someone from Redwood would come to the forum and make an announcement of some kind, because it's obvious there has been a bit of an upheaval there.

Last week I got my first rejection from them after doing hundreds, if not thousands of their HITs. I don't do as much of them any more, but I still do a few early in the morning to sort of warm up my typing and get started on the day.

The rejection I had was one one of the Review a short transcript (< 10 sec) HITs where you click on the wrong words. But in the rejection comment was a link to view what I did wrong. When I viewed the link, it was the clip I had corrected, and it was pretty clear to me that I had clicked wrong words and left correct ones.

I dropped them a quick note asking if they could clarify, and saying maybe there was a technical issue going on? That I wasn't the transcriber, I was the one who marked the incorrect words. I never heard back from them, and I also noticed that about 10 other HITs I had done for them that day sat in Pending Approval status for a really long time.

Right after that, suddenly they changed their Requester ID. They used to be A2KXILK2KMGC4N and now they're A85UAWGX7A330

Exactly! I'm creeping up on 10,000 approved HITs right now, and they were good for getting closer and closer to that goal.

Holy. Cow. The bit about their requester ID changing is really interesting. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I was so sick of seeing their name that I put them on the block list. :)

Amazon isn't going to change a requester's ID. It probably means that they got kicked off Amazon and recreated a new account with the same name.

I got the exact same error for their caption requirement HITs. It somehow though, lets me work for all of the transcribing HIT's.

Does this mean we're blocked by them or is it just a soft block, and will not affect our MTurk account?

    @ShadowColors

It is just a safe block that means you are safe from block but you can't do any of their HITs until they remove that soft/safe block. You are safe from block until you get a mail from mturk team telling that you was blocked by this a particular requester. So no worries.

I found this thread after doing a search to see if I was the only one who had a issue with them. I have done a countless amount of their hits and now I'm also getting the message "we strive for quality results. Your work so far has not met our standards and we’re sorry, but you cannot complete our HITs anymore" I have never had a rejection from them. The least they could do is reply to emails:rolleyes:

I have had great experience with Redwood and I find their hits to be pretty simple.
