There is a 'mistake' rule in banking. They totally can reverse them, but I think they will do exactly what you suspect. You will 'pay it off' as it were.

Well they've confirmed in the email that they're not reversing the funds so there's a couple of guys on reddit that got an extra $2,000 & $3,000. They're gonna have to decide if they wanna turk anymore in the future or just bail with the free money. If its left negative though I'm sure they would write it off as bad debt & sell it to a collections agency like paypal does so might not be "free".

My balance is about $1,350. That's a little over a typical month for me so I'll be on the grind. As much as I've turked over the years even if I had the $3k balance I'd still pay it off to keep turking.

If I was brand new to turk & this happened it would definitely make me think hard about it.

Also I'm still not going to transfer anything until I get the final email from them saying everything has been fixed. That might not be until next week if they can't figure it out.

I sure hope they just clear it out...that is totally what they implied. If it were me I'd wait on transferring any funds in there for a bit and see what happens. Maybe they'll just write it off and zero out your account.

they're saying on other places that banks have insurance to cover these types of errors. If that's true I guess its possible they zero us out & write off the balances. That would be some crazy bonuses for a few of us :D
