Hi. I just discovered Mturk Forum today, however, I have been an Mturker for about 3 months now. I've been doing it super consistently with a daily goal that I've very very very rarely not met (and if I do, I make up for it the next day) and am super excited about learning some tricks of the trade from seasoned veterans.
You should definitely read Lot's guide if you haven't already - I know you're not a mturk noob but there's some good sutff in there: http://mturkforum.com/showthread.ph...And-Requesters-A-Comprehensive-Guide-to-mTurk Then install the TurkOpticon script, if you haven't already: http://turkopticon.differenceengines.com/ You can find other scripts here: http://mturkforum.com/forumdisplay.php?9-Scripts And ask questions here (or you can PM me!): http://mturkforum.com/showthread.php?6661-Answers-for-All-of-Your-New-User-Questions Welcome to the forum!
Thanks so much! And I must say, love your Doctor Who avatar. Mostly, I am interested in getting better qualifications (isn't everyone) esp. the Master's but it pretty much seems to be a wait and hope scenario. I have mainly done well paying surveys but have started branching out on some writing tasks and am toying with getting into transcription. I really want to get in with CrowdSource, but never seem to be able to find any of the qualifying tests. I am hoping that breaking 1000 HITS will open some opportunities (I'm just under 800 right now) and just need to bite the bullet and grind some of Oscar's one night.
Are you talking about the CrowdSource writing test? You have to sign up at write.com to take the test (it usually takes a few months to get an email to take the test). Yep, getting to 1000 will open up a lot more things. But you should still be able to do plenty high paying surveys as long as your approved rating is over 98%.
Why yes, I am. Thanks for that info. For some reason I was under the impression that they posted the writing test as a HIT. Guess I'm off to write.com. Thank you!!
