Hi: When I click and drag a company logo from a business card for Oscar, where am I dragging the logo to? Have reviewed the instructions and tried to look at an example. The example window opens to missing page, so no help there. In the data entry form, I see only a regular text field in which to type the company name.

Just got my acceptance email from Mturk this morning. Been studying the site and articles around the Web, preparing myself, for past week. Thanks for your help.:)

Welcome to the forum! Here's to a prosperous career on MTurk for you. :)

You're not dragging the logo anywhere. You're using your mouse to draw a boundary around it, and it's the boundary that you're dragging. The HITs include both a typing component and a boundary-drawing component.

Thanks so much, naturegirl! So I draw the box around the logo, and just click the box? That's it?

So it's like in image editing when you're cropping an image? But I wouldn't be doing anything with the crop box on Oscar's business cards, just identifying the logo by outlining it with the selection box? Because if I'm not moving the box anywhere, then I'm really just sizing the box to the logo. I'm dragging the points on the box to resize it to select the logo, but not dragging the box or logo anywhere. Right?

I haven't done one of his yet, because I want to be sure I completely understand.

Especially in Oscar's case, I would suggest you just play with the HIT and see. :) If you're worried, you can do only a single one and wait to see how he takes it. Remember that you can contact requesters directly, too; the link to do so is in the lower right-hand corner of each HIT.

It's wise to be cautious with your work, but it's also important to not overthink/overworry with HITs, or you won't be able to make any money with them. Oscar's are not risky, so they're good ones to use in learning to figure out HITs based on the onboard instructions. And if you really think you can't figure a HIT out, you can always return it to avoid rejection.

    Good luck!

Yes, you are so right. The mark of a newbie/rookie...anxiety and over-thinking, lol. Selecting the logo makes more sense to me now, after your input. Take care.
