"Find the Winners and Nominees for an Award Category" (Amazon Requester Inc) how to do. I have not done this type of hits before.

They posted a small set of these several days ago that was limited to Hugo Award winners. I did 20 or so and they have still not paid. This first batch was for 10¢ a HIT; he has cut this new batch to 5¢.

I would have done more, but the reviews on TO are pretty rancid. Also, the instructions call for an almost anal-retentive attention to formatting detail when any sensible person would have simply built a form.

It’s like the requestor is setting Turkers up to fail.

The HITs I did were set to auto-approve in 7 days, and none have approved or rejected yet.

They are back up this morning with a price raise to 8¢ each. I am still not doing them, though.

The first 10 auto-approved today (7 days) with no rejections.

It’s exactly as he says in the instructions... you put the winner(s) in one box and all the nominees in the other, formatted exactly the way he spells it out in the HIT. You put the URL you used in another box.

If you can’t find the info, you put “NA” in the boxes.

Most of these awards have some sort of official website where they list this information.

Thanks Khalinov for your kind reply. Appreciate your help. Do you have done this and got approved and do you have got any 'NA' answers got approved? Please clarify.

I did 20 or so last weekend and they were all approved.

“NA” is an abbreviation for “not applicable.”

“NA” doesn”t mean “couldn’t find it” - it means the category had no winners or other nominees that year.

For instance, if he asks for the Hugo Award for Best Anime in 1958, the boxes would be both “NA” and your source might be: http://www.thehugoawards.org/hugo-history/1958-hugo-awards/

    Hi Khalinov,,,

I tried this hit. It is easy to find the winners from Wikipedia... But I am not able to find the Nominees... Can you please tell from where we can get the Nominees names?

You have to look other places than Wikipedia, I would guess. Some of these awards have their own sites.
Sometimes Wikipedia itself will list the reference sites at the bottom of the page in the footnotes. You will just have to dig (which is why I stopped at 20).

Thanks Khalinov for your valid suggestions. I think I might try for this HIT and try the ways to find the info with your clues.
    Appreciate your kind replies :)
