Munawar you can withdraw after $150, but in my opinion you should withdraw your checks after $104.

Individually, its something to rejoice. But as a country, its something to worry about. Really, really worry about.

5k is quite a money. But it definitely not enough to lead a life. Its 20-25% of a fresh engineering graduate's monthly earnings.

It aint a big money but the $ we earn is worth the time we spend on turking..All thanks to Amazon for issuing a citibank cheque to Indians alone for their earned money on Mturk ..........

I dunno which part of India you are from. Where I live, its quite a decent sum. 5k gets me my month's groceries. OR, with 5k, I can pay my landline bill, electricity bill, cell phone bill, my bike's fuel, my car's fuel and still be left with another 1k odd to blow if I want to.

No, I don't live in a suburb or rural area. I live in a metro and in a prime locality.

So you can only withdraw money after you reach $150?? If you do it before that you might risk suspension?? Weird.

Its not wierd my dear friend..Its just because u wudnt know the formalities we Indians deal with wen converting our money into a cheque...

Mturk charges 4$ for evry cheque request we submit...So withdrawing on a smaller amount wud not be beneficial to us as 4$ is gonna be deducted from that...So he said me to withdraw after 150$ since i have already crossed 120$

Secondly he advised me to get it withdrawn after 104$ with the case Amazon and Mturk has strict policies and any account is prone to suspension mostly bad luck or some other factors and on that case all earnings wil be forfeited :)

There is no particular denomination at which we can or shud withdraw...The minimum is 4$ ofcoZ since tht inlcudes the transaction charges as i said earlier and maximum has no limits

LOL..Grimtock my brother i gues u almost got it now :)

Had direct bank transaction or paypal transfer been there for us we ppl wud hav had much fun :)

Which implies 5k is no small sum.

You will find your answers in the parts that are boldened.

5k is 20-25% of a fresh engineer graduate's (net) salary-> his salary will be 20-22k/month.

Before someone argues they get paid atleast 30k, I am speaking of net salary.

Fresh engineering graduates here get paid less than 30k in the beginning but gues wha they have a worktime of 8 or 9 hrs. a day with responsibilites and submissive minds

Turking is free of getting bullied anyways :)
