Being from northern Wisconsin and growing up broke I've been driving vehicles that are least qualified for winter in the worst conditions for years, if you've got the skill you can drive anything in any weather. Might be scary as hell but with some effort you'll survive.
I once drove my 86 Camaro up a super steep hill at a 45 degree angle relative to the lanes because it was so slick, I couldn't let off the gas or I'd slide back down into the vehicle tailgating me. Just drove up damn near sideways the whole way. Terrifying. That car should never be driven in any winter weather.
