I wouldn't hate myself for $7.50. Bad enough that I hate myself for working at ATM.[IMG]

    doubling down
in case anyone didn't realize now you can click on your name
and get to your account details
if one of the other redundant links on the page fail to work

pointing out the highly non controversial click to copy your MTurk ID
we used to have to email tech support to get our ID in the dark ages.
how about they tell requesters customers to quit asking for it?
they already send it with the Hit results to requesters
and could easily send it automatically to the surveys.

wish they would quit saying worker customer too.
it's not fooling any of the three letter agencies and just sounds silly.

*they passed up a good chance to delink our MTurk ID from our amazon account
    that would have hurt nobody.
the thought of requesters creeping my wish list still creeps me out
even though I don't mind that much giving them my email
]wish they didn't do that either

I can confirm that you will hate yourself after the first few rounds . . . you keep thinking that it will be the last one . . . but then another starts. I think 50-60 minutes is pretty accurate

I was looking at some liqueur filled chocolate pears on that site and they weren't allowed to ship to 34/52 states. They were almost 9-proof.

it was always a worker requester gateway page
the way back machine might have copies

all the new cute icons presumably aimed at potential requesters
or their bosses, not quite knowing why they are there yet

Using the same ID for mturk was a really dumb decision. But of course now they have hordes
of requesters with lists of IDs to stop people from retaking surveys so I think that is never
going to change. They could of course change the ID for non-turking Amazon stuff...

I like this: "When previewing or working on a HIT, Workers may need to contact the Requester
with questions or clarifications. [...] The Requester will receive an e-mail containing your message
and including your e-mail address, so they can reply to you directly."

Brilliant. Make it possible to contact a requester while doing a HIT. However did they come
up with that idea for the new server? Oh right, we've always been able to do that.

And this is the thing that jumped out so badly when I first started mturk... it is a TOS violation
for a requester to ask us for things like names and emails, but it isn't possible to send a message
to a requester without revealing your email. Which in my case is basically my name. Argh.
I'd change my email with Amazon but I worry it would set off some kind of panic attack over
my identity and money laundering or god knows what and I'd end up with a suspended account.

Prolific has an actual messaging system much like every forum in existence. And even provides
a fake email address that connects to it to provide to those pain-in-the-ass requesters who still
want an email. But then Amazon is just a tiny startup while Prolific is a huge multinational corporation,
    so that is understandable.
