Stay away from those XOi hits. Just got mass rejected. ETA: I'm so angry. I did those damned hits exactly as directed, and didn't accept a single one where the information he asked for was illegible or missing, and got my ass handed to me anyway. I took a chance on a new requester who looked to be paying $6 an hour. Like I haven't been doing this long enough to know better. There used to be a guy on here who always said "scared money don't make money." He was right, but Scared Money at least doesn't have to worry about her stats tanking.
It will only get you in trouble with mturk if you're using it to make it look like you're in the US when you're really overseas, and they find this out somehow. The biggest risk is of rejections. Some requesters who track your IP address can recognize a VPN and will reject for it. I always turn mine off while turking.
