If a cashier at a chain store like Wal-Mart forgets to scan an item it doesn't even begin to balance the scales of what Wal-Mart is doing to our society at large. Fuck the Waltons. I am a bit more jaded than most people though. Yeah it's fucked up. The reason we haven't made the switch from not sustainable fossil fuels to sustainable solar power and electric cars is because of money and greed. The most outlandish conspiracy theory that's been peddled on mainstream media for nearly 3 years now is that Russia/Putin got Trump elected and somehow Trump is a puppet of the Kremlin. Other than how dangerous that whole thing is for many reasons it has been amusing to watch Rachel Maddow turn into a full on Glenn Beck type nut job. But yeah not all conspiracy theories are true and absolutely there's misinformation put out there to discredit the ones that have merit.
My part time job is a thrift store manager. If the cashiers come up short when the money is counted, I don't make them pay. Lot's of stores do. Maybe I'm a bleeding heart, but because of the work I do and see how tough is sometimes to be a cashier. I just don't want to make their lives more difficult. Also, I believe in karma, good or bad.
