Hilarious to me. Sometimes ya just need to be patient. Accepted this & saw it was returned once saying "survey not active". I checked it out and yep, broken. Did another survey & left it in the Q. Just checked it again & now the survey works & 8 others have returned it as broken. If the timer is long enough & its broken just give it a few minutes then try again. Hello, everybody! I'm new to this forum, and new to Mturk as well. (I had never heard of it until a few weeks ago.) Anyway, I've been doing the receipt transcription, and all of a sudden, I'm not eligible to do them any more. That's a bummer to me, because I think those are kind of fun even though they don't pay all that well. I have about 1,300 HITs, so what gives?
Welcome to the forum! I've never done the receipt ones so I don't know why they stopped you from doing them. Maybe there is a cap. It's better that way than get rejections. The more HITs you do, the better you will get.
In the meantime, I discovered the problem. I'm at about 1,300 HITs, and they're currently requiring 2,000 to do that.
Yeah you have to do penny hits for a while. I was lucky enough to start doing mturk when it was mostly processing google street view address pictures back in like 04/05. Then I didn't do it much at all until I started back up a few years back with like 2k already approved hits under my belt.
