Goddamn turkprime/cloudresearch. Accidentally accepted that jury study twice. Being nice, I returned one right away. Apparently it matters which one you toss back. Damn thing won't take the code. I just get an error page saying > You already accepted this Study in a different Hit. Return this HIT. (Code #2060) > If you previously started this study but did not submit it, it might be found in HITs Assigned to You Of course going to my assigned hits gets me the same message, because I apparently returned the copy of the HIT that was "mine" and kept the one that was a second copy. Clearing cookies, using a different browser, same shit. (I did have the HIT open the entire time, but apparently it was the same one open that I returned from the queue. Putting the code in got the error message.) Maybe there are hordes of scammers out there and this isn't paranoia on the part of the researchers/survey companies, but it is annoying and insane. So, lesson is, if you accept a turkprime survey more than once by accident DON'T RETURN EITHER ONE until you've finished and submitted a code! So, no more Mr. Nice Guy returning the copy quickly so the researcher gets their survey done sooner. As much of a prick the EmpiricalJury guy sounds like with all his rejection threats, I strongly suspect I'll never get paid here, but I'll send off that message just in case. Sorry, rant over. Pissed off since this is 80% of my day's meager income.
