It's been several days since I signed up to work for MTurk but I am STILL getting this message when logging in (and also checking email/spam folder for a message to begin): Your registration is being reviewed I know others are having this problem, but is there an MTurk person that has some answers?
I am in the same boat. I am waiting for an email saying I am good to go, however I just registered a day or so ago. I am in the US also, from New York.
Same issue here (also in US). I registered about four days ago and am still waiting. I submitted an inquiry via their contact form earlier today and got an auto-response, but no real info so far.
I just sent an email to the General Inquiry Support team and asked if they can give out any additional information on the new registration process. I made sure to say that I read the FAQ (which clearly states that there is no estimate on new approvals) but that I knew quite a few people who had been waiting some time to be approved. I hope to get a response back, but I am sure they are being flooded with emails. I tried to be as nice as I could and thanked them a few times.
Yep, I too sent an email asking nicely when I would be approved. I got a generic email as well blah blah
It's been since around July 19th, I believe. Anyone who signed up on or after that day is currently on hold.
The typical advice that is given is to keep emailing Amazon until you get a response from a human. At least that's the advice for suspensions, but it probably applies here, too.
Sounds like a plan, I think I'll send an email to Amazon every day until I hear back. I'm sure others have paved this same road since July 19th so I'm not sure how this will go. I am so eager to start turking but worried it may never happen for me.
I wouldn't hound them daily with a support email - Maybe 1-2 a week at most. Maybe ask kindly for an ETA on when it will be ready for you to join??
I emailed them a few days ago asking how long before I am approved. Today they emailed stating "they have no clue how long it will be until I am approved and that I should check out the HITS to see what I want to do in the future". LOL. Really? Like putting a piece of meat in front of a hungry lion UGH.
I also finally got a response from the Customer Support team, however it is pretty much the same that I am seeing here. They have no estimate on how long it will take. At least it wasn't something worse.
Yes, I think I saw it another thread. This was also from "John G". Honestly it could have been a lot worse, either no response or something like they aren't taking new members. I will remain hopeful.
Anyone in this thread with any updates? Anyone finally get approval? I know I haven't but I am eagerly awaiting.
