So I noticed last night Nik had posted up over quick summary 70 HIT's ... I thought this was odd since this requester never has more than a few to do at a time. Well, I opened 5 of them and it turns out they were duplicate HIT's, linking to the same article. I only completed 1 of them, returned the other 4, and wrote the guy an email letting him know of his error. Sure enough, all the HIT's were gone within the hour.... Some guy probably posted the same summary over and over ...
That's perfectly normal. When Corey B puts up a batch of 100 summary HIT's there's probably only 30 or 40 original articles. What they do is hodgepodge several of those 50 word summaries together to make a better one, so they need at least two or three different summaries because usually one of those is a reject. I've done the same article several times and been approved, I've also had (for no given reason) perfectly good submissions rejected. I no longer do Corey's HITs because of that.
The requester actually contacted me and and told me the multiple hits were posted in error, due to a glitch with Mturk. Corey B, on the other hand, is well known for the way he operates. He is the ONLY quick summary requester that I avoid.
