vasu19802 .... I reiterate that Mturk is totally safe and legitimate... I have been receiving cheques from them quite regularly; it even happened some 10 days. May be this could be a case where the cheque actually got misplaced during transit. You need not worry and just take steps to keep Amazon posted on this issue through email and wait for another cheque. Meanwhile, keep your postman in good humour.... That helps... practical thinking in India...

i am waiting for $400 for 4 months Already i have got 5-6 cheques from mturk early this year. But I have been waiting for $400 for months, cheque is re-issued 5 times but i never received it. I am really very much frustrated, since i have spent around 4000Rs for internet service. roughly around 20k is pending with mturk and i really worry that "whether they actually release the cheque or not" With all my frustration, i really think that i should never come back to mturk, but i do not have any other go.

They verified successfully the scanned document of my ID. They again informed me that they sent a fresh check at modified address. I have not got that check also. I have inquired at the post office regularly, they said they did not get it. Have they temporarily blocked my account? Will not they inform me about blocking? Hurray!!! got the check today. Yes, it took 14 days instead of the usual 12 days. I am from Kochi, Kerala and my friend from Kollam also reported that he has received the check. Munawar also commented here that der was no problem. So, I believe there is nothing to worry at the moment for workers from Kerala. Don't know about other parts of India, though.
I think they play mind games. In the whole month they send only 50 to 60 % checks. In this way they create both positivity and save lots of their money.

They give us a transaction ID while submitting a request...They send us a rupee conversion mail..Everything is legal...So if one just prepares to sue em they can indeed be screwed..So i dont think they will ever bother playing such mind or rather i wud say cheap games

Even I withdrew $74 on 18-08-2012 & got a conversation mail on 22-08-2012, let see whether I'll get my check in time or not, usually I get my checks within 5-6 days after getting conversation mail, once it took 9 days and once 13 days max & got it after getting conversation mail.
You are one of the lucky ones who gets their check in 6 days. Which state or region of India do you live in, because the postal department there seems very efficient.
I dont think the postal department needs to be efficient..All it requires is some good working employees who are sincere towards their profession..Unfortunately sorry to say a lot are so shabby and non-dedicated
In most cases, the check will reach the respective PO without any delay. It's the delivery post-man who gets lazy and delay your mail. All you have to do is go straight to PO at around 12 days from the date of withdrawal and inquire whether you've got any airmail. Chances are that you'll get your check right then, or if it hasn't arrived, the delivery person will bring it to you as soon as the mail arrives since you have inquired about it. That's what I do and it works every time.
I'm from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and my friend is also from Hyderabad whose 3 checks are pending from 1 month, I don't think its about state or region matter, I thing the problem is our postal service.
I agree with you bro, No doubt Mturk is one of the genuine site but the only problem is our postal service .
Amazon won't touch online payment methods Amazon won't touch online payment methods like paypal, moneybookers etc. even they may give an excuse that paypal belong to their competitor but what about moneybookers? Moneybookers also charge 4% of the amount like paypal, why not go for it. And the 4% will be deducted out of the turkers account. There are so many cheap money transfer method like moneybookers but only god knows why in this digital age Mturk will want to send cheques and that also by ordinary post. There is no logical explanation for this except for the simple reason that is to buy them time when they want to stop or suspend somebody's account.
Moneybookers has changed its name to Skrill. I have a Skrill account that I use for online auctions (since I despise PayPal).
