First off because none will come here because all they see is scam scam cheat scam, "why am I banned with 65% accuracy," "I opened 6 accounts in all my brothers names," "it's common for overseas workers to open fake accounts" -- Any requester that comes here is not one I want to work with (so far). And uh picking on my avatar (after I already said BYE hahahah) as opposed to my actions is like.. picking on my outfit behind my back because I'm smarter than you. Step your game up Princess before you jump on a high horse around me.
Hi guys, I have been MIA the last few days. College is starting (senior year... finally!) @Booty - I've been without an internet connection for a few days now, since i've been moving. I've had brief access at starbucks. I saw your message and I thought that I had already taken action on your complaint, but I guess not. I will revisit it. @Everyone else - Beware the trolls, some may originate from the far-off TN world to try to get a rise out of you all, maybe - maybe not. I am thinking about implementing a very light moderation system for threads, which I believe would work, but still thinking on the logistics for how to deal with user accounts. Whatever the system, I want it to be extremely light so that the majority of active users would be unaffected.
Hello Andy - I think it would be somewhat needed in light of recent hostile posts and this recent scammer, but I hope you keep to the "extremely light". I come here everyday. I post periodically, but just as often, I read for information. please don't boot for light activity.
Thanks, Andy. I didn't get a response and (even though I'm an asshole about it) I know like the rest of us you have a life off the internet so I didn't want to flood your inbox. One of the reasons everyone loves this forum is because of its openness. Light moderation just to fix/maintain the reputation of this board is all it needs IMO. Even if it's just an easier way for us to report posts so you can review and decide what should be removed.
I agree with BB on this one Andy. We need to keep a decent rep or collaboration with decent requesters will never happen on this forum.
Yeah like I said, i'm for light moderation but i'd like to keep it pretty anonymous, as to who moderates, etc. I will think more about it and try to come up with a suitable solution this month.
In my opinion, the only thing that should be banned is posting someone's personal information/home address/etc. without their consent. I really am anti-moderation - then again, this isn't my board, obviously...
