So after the suspension fiasco of the last few days I decided to email Amazon and ask them if I had any active blocks on my account. I want to make sure my account is in good standing etc etc blah blah lol So.. this was their response..

'I am sorry for any concerns about blocks on your account. If you have been blocked by a Requester, you will receive an e-mail notification of the action and reason. Requesters will occasionally block Workers from completing more HITs for them so that new tasks aren’t completed by the same Workers twice. This is perfectly normal, and Requesters will usually lift the blocks once the current set of HITs have been completed. These types of blocks are not shared, and should not have any impact on your account.'

Erm... thanks? I know ProductRnR still has me blocked because I checked the other night. I'm not sure how long blocks count? I got the block from them in my first couple of days so it's been probably 3 months but I figured they would tell me if I had active blocks since that's what I asked.

Ah well.. I'm off for the weekend my daughter is turning 5 and we're having a big party tomorrow so I'll just hope I still have a Turking account Monday LOL

Thanks for taking the time to post this. It's good to see you got a reply. I had written to them a long time ago with a question about blocks and the reply I got was a copy and paste standard email about the Master Worker Qualification, WTF.

Unfortunately the bolded part above is just more MTurk copy and paste dribble, in my opinion. I know a lot of people, self included, who have had survey Requester blocks to prevent duplicates, and didn't receive an email. I'm personally taking a bit of a break from studies for a while, and will just focus on transcription for the next week or so. I hate to lose the money but I'm just really spooked by all these stories.

The above is a template based response - Copy/Paste. I believe they have an email support base in India.

See... that's what I was expecting since I specifically asked if they could please tell me are there any ACTIVE blocks on my account at this time. -smh- Ah well, I will either follow up and let them know my question wasn't remotely answered or I'll just thank gods my account is ok for now and carry on. -shrugs- Haven't decided which yet,
