Minimum wage is the lowest decent remuneration for the basic unskilled workers. 2. A wage implies many adjacent taxes employers must pay in their countries (social asigurations etc) 3. The requesters on AMTurk make profit from submitted Hits in their country not in the workers' countries. Let's go on and make some calculations. The minimum payment on AMturk is 0.01$ for a basic task that takes around half to one minut. Right? That's mean, let's say, $0.60 to $1,20 per hour. So far so good. An Indian, Pakistani, Ukrainian, Albanian and other worker, from a country with minimumwage below 1$, should be happy with the payment. Hey mates don't haste, because... That is what the requesters are thinking, but they omitted those 3 considerations above.(it doesn't matter their reason : greed, miserliness or hurry) We have to explain them what they are missing regarding each mentioned considerations. 1. Having knowledge to use a computer, do a internet search, find an email address and so on, it's not the same thing with digging a hole in the ground, carrying a weight as a shoreman and so on. 2. As an employer they have no adjacent taxes in their bookkeeping related to us. 3. The vast majority of them aren't from countries with minwage below $4 per hour. They make profit from our works in their country not others. As in conclusion I propose you mates to debate together all aspects above. I throw out for you to set an acceptance of 3-4$ per work hour. If someone of us who navigates on Amazon Hit's page, beeing bored in a rainy day, would have the temptation to waste his time for a crappy pay, then he should snap himself over their hands, get a break- read a joke or something else Wait for your response in this thread here.
