I am careful about giving any info even my voice recordings. Some of the political surveys are obviously run by nutjobs.

To all those participating in the $9.50 economic discussion now, have fun! Seems one of my group members is running late/a no-show though... hopefully it still works and I still get paid :/

edit: Mine got canceled because of the no-show Looks like I still get paid but I was looking forward to the discussion...

My group did not show, either. I just had to take a short survey and they said we would be compensated.

I was starting to get very antsy.

 

You just had to fill in your mTurk ID on the survey and that's it, right? I presume the payment will come in the form of a bonus then.

I was approved and it was very boring.

 

Mine was great! We had a very nice discussion and came to a good decision, I think. It only took 20 minutes. very cool for $9.50

 

No, there's a phase two HIT that you accept and enter your code from the survey in. I thought it was going to be via bonus too until I saw that at the end of the survey

 

Mine got cancelled too. Easy money (if they paid as they said they would) but discussion would have been interesting.

 

Uh oh, I didn't see this! All I saw was a screen to enter my ID in after the survey, and that was it. Although I undoubtedly received the "B" version of the survey for cancelled discussions. Guess I'll wait a day or so or email them to see what happens

 

I wonder if it was part of the study that people did not show up or if people just did not show up.It seems strange that that many people would not show up for $9.50!
However, I must admit that I originally missed that it was PDT and showed up at 1 EST to find that :/

 

I just did mine, there wasn't a whole lot of discussion, there were 2 other people and we both immediately agreed on the same choice. Haha! Easiest 10 bucks I've ever made though.
