If he accepts the hit, he has to pay you the $1.00. A lot of survey hits include a question like that, and most such requesters will happily reduce any bonus that's been promised, but I've never had my base pay reduced for checking yes on such a question. I don't think it's possible. If he accepts the hit, Amazon automatically gives you the money he pre-paid them up front.

This is an old post, but yes, these are legit, and should be if he posts any in the future. I've done two of them now, and he paid quickly and was very communicative. The pictures are for a food website, and both pictures I submitted were up there on his site within a few hours of submission. Cool to see. I hope he posts some more HITs.
